I'm so sian.... there's a math test tomorrow and i am in no mood to start studying... argh! mebbe tonight...

ah shit. but later got comm close dinner... and got interview~ that means until ten plus then can start la... *sigh*

I cant wait for holidays to start!! haha.

today is.... the 4th sit in lab i think... haha last sit in... :)

looking back at this sem, all my labs have been obeying my one and only one principle "can compile can already" ...

but got practical next week leh. 20 % i think... sure die one.

anyways, hopefully can get into the holiday comm, or i cant stay in TH anymore... so sad! i really like staying here, its been kinda fun mixing with everybody, especially my "clique" --- the nurses gang ... haha.

although at times i realised that when i am alone with one of them other than gerry, i have nothing to talk to them about... haha but they are really nice ppl~ :)
i will miss this all if i cant stay....

today was the second sit-in lab.

as usual i couldn't do. but i didnt thought much of it... hey, i could compile!

haha. whatever.

then there is this super smart person in my class who asked "Can you do today's lab?"

i said no. and he said "Then what are you doing in Computing?"

That simple question hit me.

Somehow i felt hurt.

I don't know why though, i had this sense that of if-i-had-tried-to-explain-myself-i-may-cry feeling. So i didnt really say anything.

So. now in my room, i'm thinking, why did i put computing first choice? if i had put some other faculty first choice i may not be feeling bad right now...

but being the stubborn person i am, i did say, since i came in aiming for IS, i won't go out with anything less.

sounds nice. But can i do it?
i really wonder...

I wanna pass programming (cs1102), so desperately.
But it doesnt mean what you want will become true, isnt it? I know i need help.
People are telling me places to go, people to look for for help. but i know thats not the kind of help i need. Oh well, just see how it goes. THATS life.

On another note, i hereby announce the chinese phrase, 路遥知马力，日久见人心, as something you will really need to see thru a person. Really. And thats only in 3 months. Luckily i was observant enough within the 3 months to know if you were worth my time. Its sad that we may not be able to stay as friends since im being seriously ignored. Treat it as your loss.

More visiting to go. SUPER SIAN. The adults chat, the kids play. What do i do? Rot on sofas, stoning away... Well, all for the red packets, i guess. haha. How can I help it? I'm money-minded, remember?

Anyway, this layout is to remind myself I'm beautiful, no matter what other people say. (sounds familiar, hor?)

I just gotta be the stupidest person on earth TODAY. ok, I guess you already know. haha.

I actually thought 23 NOV 1200 hrs means the midnight of 23 NOV... ahhh where did my brains go???

So the posting for my CS1105 module blog ended before i could post my last post!!!! Shitty, right?

And so... in order not to let that post which i took so long to crap go to waste... you guys will have to suffer and READ it... muahahahaha~ *gives evil grin*

and here goes...

This will be final post of this blog… the three main things I’ve learnt…

1. I used to think that a decision that ultimately benefits others is definitely the “correct” one… but subsequently after reading some of the readings and having the tutorial discussions… I have come to another kind of mindset. Now, to me, the intention is far more important than the outcome. If a person actually means to do good, but the outcome does not turn out in the way he/she expected, is this person to blame? Like the inventor of nuclear energy, it might have been an invention to promote further research on the potential and beneficial uses of nuclear energy, but others have turned it into a dangerous weapon. Thus, I think that this has broadened the way I view things and that there is no certain right or wrong answers, but it is how one argues the case. This is one important standpoint I have learnt in this course.

2. The decreasing amount of privacy internet users is entitled to. I had no idea that internet users are under some many kinds of threat while being online… danger of leak of personal information, spyware/malware, etc. Now that I have learnt these from this course, I’ll know how to protect myself and tell others about such risks while using the internet. And of course to stop downloading intellectual property… including songs/movies… and infringing others’ copyrights… I really had no idea that Singapore is under strict laws for committing these infringements. I got kinda scared! Haha :P

3. The progress of ICT is sooo rapid. From the thumbprint-scanning keyboard to the table-top surface computing… maybe its better to proceed slower, I mean, whats the point of these applications do not work well for users? I think more R&D should be done so that these applications can suit users better and becomes a better item that would seem attractive to users… because I don’t think most people are ready to accept such improvements at such a fast rate yet… However, improvements are still needed… or how can ICT increase the quality of our lives? And for this third point, what I want to say is, I have seen so many different new applications coming out from this course, and is learning to appreciate the current available applications that we have now, and the newer inventions that are coming out soon.

Even though my blog has probably one of the least posts, I still think that this blog did help me to analysis my thoughts about the ideas learnt each week. It is definitely difficult for me to phrase my thoughts/ideas/opinions into words like this… but I’m glad that I took CS1105 because I know it will be able to help me in some way or another in future. :)

And with this, I’ll end my blog here.

I'm now purely irritated by this person who calls herself a GOOD friend. When you need her help, she disappears and only appears when it concerns her. you talk to her, and she speaks as though it is just to make you keep quiet. for things having to do with her studies/ future and whatsoever, she does them properly, for all other things that can be deemed as secondary in importance, including things that you see as being crucial, are done at the very last minute. she doesn't offer her help unless you ask her to do something, and she expects that when she needs your help, you HAVE to assist her. she knows that you are very anxious about something and purposely takes her time to dilly-dally in telling you what's the latest development, causing you to be worrying almost the entire day, even though its your birthday. you can't eat your birthday dinner/father's day dinner at ease because you feel that she is sooo irresponsible. she forgets that it is your birthday.

my sister asks me why i dont update my blog even when i have all the time in the world now.

the problem is, theres really nothing to blog about. what i do everyday is just go to work, slack, come home, slack. boring isnt it? but i like it. its boring. its routinal. its too slack. but its something i worked hard for. something that i slogged my guts out for the A levels to achieve.

before the A levels my mother used to say "just work hard until your exams are over, and i won't even care how you spend your holidays."
yar right. now everyday at eleven she will say "go and sleep. NOW! or esle i'll slap you!"

haha. im going 19 in 2 weeks and i need to be told by my mother i need to sleep by eleven pm SHARP. wth?

and when i was at home before i got a job, she would be saying " cant you do something constructive during your holidays? stop moping around like a hopeless, worthless piece of shit." (ok this was said in mandarin/hokkien - i did the translation)

i dont i can believe if she ever says something like "study hard and you can ENJOY your holiday" to my bro or sis. its impossible. utterly impossible if she is at home.

been eating a lot these few days... growing FAT. omg.

saturday, 28/04/07:

bought 4D for the first time.... :) i bought 5156 for sat and sun... but didnt win... duh...

went for dinner at Pearl River Cantonese Restaurant... havent been there before, but the food was REALLY good. its superb. the quantity wasnt much but theres definitely quality.

like the sharks fin.... its like the first time ive ever eaten sharks fin in which there was only sharks fin and crab meat in the small claypot... and the sharks fin was in bite size, meaning i could ACTUALLY bite a whole piece of sharks fin and not in bee hoon like size or something~

and the glutinous rice in lotus leaf.... totally delicious.... actually i dont really like the sticky stuff... but that particular one from that restaurant was damn good.

only such good stuff on a very special occasion - daddy seah's birthday~

entire family excluding dad, including maid, went for haircut.... like the entire salon got not much ppl except for us....i wait till i was about to die. it was terribly loooooooooong.

then we went looking for some nice bak chor mee to eat at eunos there... i think its called 1A mee or A1 mee.... the noodles were actually quite nice, especially to the very hungry me... but i was pretty pissed with the waitress, who couldnt stop shouting in my ear even though i was like sooo close to her. typical of zhong guo ren?

yay. CNY came and went.... i'm happy coz i got ANGBAOSSSSS.... hehe....

this year's visiting was quite slack... not as 'hardworking' as last year.... visited only a few homes per day.... *sigh~ thankfully...

don't really enjoy visiting lar... coz my family always visit my dad's friends... and they will talk talk talk about things that i have no idea about... its BORING. even on the third day, where there's buffet (nice things to eat. yum) i couldn't really get my spirits up to socialise~

haha. a few of my classmates came over that afternoon to lo hei.... but actually they din really hv to travel SO far just to find a place to lo hei... haha oh wells. we played mahjong. :)

booked a slot for my dental surgery already. shucks.... hate it. my jaws hurt every now and then coz of the stupid wisdom teeth growing... i'd rather be unwise then suffer such agony...
first, they cut open the gums, slice the tooth into two and pull both parts out one at a time.
for that, i get 5 days MC. haha. but getting out one wisdom tooth costs S$700++ two would be S$1400++.... thats super super ex.

oh man. hope that i get it over and done with. won't be able to talk/eat for 5 days~

mebbe i'll complaint more here then.

i'm awfully bored. there hasn't been a single call to my extension since lunch and i really wonder if my extension is at the bottom of the priority list, if there really is one.

thankfully, there isn't an angmoh call that i totally couldn't understand today. only one call in which me and the angmoh seemed to talk like chickens and duck do... (like how that chinese idiom goes) even though we were both speaking english. haha

i even heard an angmoh telling one of the agents answering the call...

agent: i'm sorry, i din really catch you.
angmoh: (in a fustrated tone) do you know that you have a really strong accent??

haha.
that seemed weird to us for a while.

haven't updated in a while... haha because i forgot my username to the blog!!

how forgetful. :p

Let's see... for june hols... i performed for AJCSB band concert :) ... i studied, slack, attempted very hard to mug and slacked even more.
Why is it always so difficult to pick up those papers, even just to go thru or read thru them? the mind just dislikes these actions so much that the more i really wanted myself to study, the more i find myself sitting in front of the tv, or sleeping...

Quite ironically, i found myself absorbing more during the 2nd week of the hols then now. its two days to the exams and i'm not yet ready... argh! luckily, i know that my friends out there share the same thoughts as me - so i am not suffering alone... muahahahahaha!!! :p

enuff about the frustrating tests coming up... i am very sad to say that i'm officially out of band already. how sad. really enjoyed playing my percussion instruments, even though the change from percussion band to symphonic band was really huge. had to start learning stuff that i didn't know in sec sch... playing instruments i didn't normally play then. haha. ventured more in the drums part of perc now... :) but still not enuff. i still can't roll!!!!

i wonder if after the A levels i can still have the chance to touch percussion anymore, unles i join an external group like heartbeat, which is not possible because i'm too lousy already. *sigh*
compared to my sec sch friends who joined the external group, my skills have a lot to polish...

ok... i'm digressing. anyways, this hols is like any other hols for the past 3 years. 2004 was because of O levels, 2005 was because of the mid year common test and promos, and 2006 because of A levels. almost 3 years of studying... and i didn't count in sec 3... coz altho sec 3 also preparing for Os, but i was damn slack... The time between the Os and As is too close! i haven't rested as much as i wanted to.. its like Os had just finished, and *zoom* A levels coming soon. argh!! i want to go on holiday! go for mebbe... one month? haha that will have to wait till A levels finish... *sigh*

i'll stop complaining now. bye!

today was supposed to be quite a slack day~
four periods break, gp, maths and mass civics only...
then, i decided to be such a kind and lovely sister, and went to bishan popular to buy some geog guide book for my sister so that she can chiong her geog for the exam on thurs.

Right.

After looking for a somewhat long time, i found a few options which i could buy, and i took one which looked seemingly familiar. but i paid no attention to it. so, i cont'd looking for some tys answers and some physics workbk or sth that my sister also wanted me to buy...

however, the resources were limited. (in other words, i can't find them even though i looked for quite long~)

so, i paid for that geog guide bk and went shopping with gerry for b'day present for her bf and gifts for the hwa chong peepz for their concert.

upon reaching home, i came to the horrific realisation that my sis already had the same stupid geog guide book. Shit. waste my time, money, energy and made me quarrel with her.

the worst thing??? i was the one who bought that very same guide book in the first place. im awfully pissed at myself and feel quite dumb at the same time.

*sigh... i guess thats me ba~ so absent-minded...

i know the blog's stagnant. i can't help it. im really busy... with band mostly? mebbe i'm kidding myself. i can't even find time to do tutorials, but there i am, chatting on msn the whole of today.

tomorrow there's the istana performance, and i haven't pack my stuff~ lazy, man. its at 11 am. all are welcomed to watch... its 45 mins... but the songs are pretty ok... as in the pop songs and all... except for flower fantasy.

that song is pretty cursed. the marimba part is crazy. well, i think that is just an excuse for me to not play well. its hard, and i HAVE tried perfecting it... its also the song which led to a series of events that got me disappointed in him.

Why say you can't when you haven't tried? see, you made it in the end. i forced you the part because i have faith in your ability... i know whatever she said to you were quite hurting. i understand. im an appeal student too. i know how it will feel like if my senior said the same things to me. but thats her. that's what she is admirable about. her honest and straightforward character is what that has earned my respect as a friend.

i've apologised. whether or not to continue the friendship lies undecided... i'm quite disappointed that this friendship became like that...

holidays now, but thankfully i do not need to g to school or extra lessons or anything... just that there's the band camp. not really looking forward to it though, coz i feel that i can better use that few days to do sth... but its still nice to mix around with the new juniors. :)

actually i'm not really willing because i think the main part of the camp is band prac... which i really dread, since we always get scolded. yeah, it may be funny to hear him using really weird terms to insult us... but still, he IS insulting us.

and theres tuition. not that i HATE tuition, but who loves going for it?

oh well.

i didn't really expect an exciting holiday week anyway.
